hypothesis: effect of veto power
Hypothesis:
when people are certain to affect others, they are more likely to conform
in this group: share of caring grows when more affective
statistical procedure
- take group consisting of caring conformists and steadfast, i.e., those who go back to original preference in the next vote (but this also includes anti-conformists; should we exlude them?) within the same "domain" This implies that each individual can have a different character for each domain
- dependent variable: conformist dummy (i.e., was in minority and agreed)
- independent variable: treatment dummy (1=veto treatment)
- random effects on individual level (maybe also on session level)
predictions
veto dummy is positive and significant
interpretation
increase in percentage points when people are certain to affect others
treatment of jar
for this analysis the jar is excluded
